Terms Of Adoption
- The Adopter acknowledges that all cats/kittens placed for adoption have been seen by a licensed veterinarian and received a standard level of medical care to insure the cat(s)/kitten(s) have been spayed/neutered, blood tested for FeLV/FIV, received the initial FVRCP and Rabies vaccination, and received an initial treatment of Revolution (which treats for fleas, ticks, ear mites, heartworm and other common species of intestinal worms) prior to adoption. However, further follow-up care is typically needed for some of these conditions. Any additional medical care the cat(s)/kitten(s) received by the veterinarian will be explained and documented as well. The CCRR Program is unaware of the medical history of the rescue cat(s)/kitten(s) and is unable to test/treat for all other potential health conditions. However, any known conditions will be disclosed. Follow up and further medical care may be required by the Adopter.
- The cat(s)/kitten(s) shall be kept as indoor house pet(s), except when accompanied outdoors on a leash/harness by the Adopter.
- The Adopter will ensure that routine check-ups/immunizations and prompt treatment of any illness/injury shall be provided by a licensed veterinarian.
- The cat(s)/kitten(s) must be maintained humanely in accordance to laws/ordinances in the jurisdiction of the Adopter’s residence.
- No cat(s)/kitten(s) shall ever be declawed.
- The CCRR Program realizes that situations may arise and the adoption may no longer be in the best interests of the family and/or the cat(s)/kitten(s). If any issues cannot be satisfactorily resolved, the Rescue requires that the cat(s)/kitten(s) be directly returned to the Rescue and not be given up in any other fashion outside this Rescue.
- The Adopter must agree to have an Adoption Representative contact the Adopter via text (or other method if text is not possible) at any time after the adoption takes place to ensure the cat(s)/kitten(s) are adjusting properly and cared for in compliance with this contract. The adopter must agree to respond to update requests.
- The CCRR Program is not responsible for any costs incurred to the Adopter by the cat(s)/kitten(s) for behavioral issues or medical conditions (including bites, scratches, allergies, etc.) or any property damage incurred by the cat(s)/kitten(s).
- A non-refundable donation is requested (details below) toward costs incurred for the cat(s)/kitten(s) named above.
- The Adopter assumes full responsibility of the cat(s)/kitten(s) on the date of the adoption.
- The cat(s)/kitten(s) can be reclaimed if the Adopter cannot or will not comply with the conditions listed above.
